Bordesley Green Primary School is a Victorian school, located in Birmingham which has expanded on an ‘ad-hoc’ basis over the years to cope with the annual demand of increased pupil numbers.

A key aspect of our commission was to review the existing school layout, to reconfigure the classrooms and improve the quality of the teaching and learning facilities for pupils and staff, thus creating dynamic, interactive and exciting learning spaces. Our Clients aim was to future proof the school against increased pupil numbers and to rationalise the layout of classrooms and staff support facilities.

The works involved the design and construction of a new canteen and commercial kitchen, dining room, sports hall, and ancillary catering and support accommodation within a new, purpose built facility.

The project also included the internal reconfiguration and refurbishment of the main entrance and reception, 20No. classrooms and the provision of 2No. new and unique classrooms within a newly formed mezzanine floor, suspended within the first floor of a large pupil library.
