Located within the existing Radiology Department at Royal United Hospitals Bath, this project involved the refurbishment of a 2 storey 1970’s building, traditionally constructed with cavity masonry walls, concrete frame and concrete ground and first floors.
The new PET CT project included the following:
· PET/CT Scanning Room
· Associated plant/technical areas to Scanning Room
· Control Room
· Drawing Up Room (Preparation Area)
· Patient Changing Room
· 3No. Uptake/ injection rooms (2no trolley access & 1no bed access).
· ‘Hot’ WC.
· Post scan patient rest room.
The project was completed on programme and within budget.
